La Dolce Vita: a Yoga & Wellness Retreat in Italy
Join Whitney Miller and Tammy Friend for a week of movement, stillness, and slow Italian living. This intimate retreat blends yoga, nature, and soul-nourishing connection — set on a private estate overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
Picture this…
You wake to the soft light of morning, the scent of espresso, and the view of olive trees and vineyards rolling toward the Adriatic coast. The day begins slowly — a yoga practice overlooking the hills, followed by a chef-prepared brunch made with fresh, local ingredients. Hours stretch open for rest, reflection, or a swim in the heated pool.
Just a short stroll from the estate (about 5–10 minutes along a scenic path) lies Civitanova Alta, a quiet hilltown of winding lanes, historic churches, and small cafés — the perfect gentle outing to wander, sip, or pause in a sun-washed piazza.
Later, you return to the villa’s spa — sauna, steam, or a soothing treatment that restores body and mind. As evening settles in, conversation flows over a nourishing dinner, the light fading to soft gold across the valley. You exhale deeply, feeling yourself return — not to a different version, but to the one you were before the world told you who to be.

Other Notes
This retreat is for women only.
You’re welcome to arrive in Italy earlier to explore, then meet us at Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) on October 3 to join the group shuttle to the retreat villa. Please note that most flights from the U.S. to Italy are overnight, departing October 2 and arriving October 3. The group shuttle will depart the Rome airport at 12:00 p.m. If you plan to arrive separately, transportation to the villa will be your responsibility.
Italy’s currency is the Euro (€). Most places accept credit cards, but carrying some cash is helpful for small cafés or tips. The villa has Wi-Fi, though service may be slower—consider it part of the unplugging experience.
For those traveling solo, we’re happy to share flight information among guests who wish to connect or travel together when possible.
During your stay, there will be opportunities to enjoy optional local excursions and tastings (not included in the retreat price). We’ll share a variety of options to choose from—such as bike rides, vineyard tours and wine tastings, pasta-making classes, or truffle hunting—so you can personalize your experience.
If you’d like to explore nearby towns during your free time, the estate’s concierge can help arrange transportation. Please note that this service is optional and billed separately.
Bring a passport valid for at least 6 months, comfortable yoga and travel clothes, light layers, a swimsuit, sandals, walking shoes, and a universal power adapter (Type C or F). Yoga mats and props will be provided. Quiet hours begin after dinner (around 9–10 pm) so everyone can rest well.
The retreat ends on October 10, with a return shuttle to the airport that morning. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, and travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect your trip.
